They Have Benefited from SNAGGOLF

We adopted SNAGGOLF coaching system for our first indoor golf learning center in Malaysia since 2003. Our young golfers who have used and benefited from the said programs never look back since then. We are proud to share with you some of their remarkable achievements.

Happy faces, laughter with clown masters appearance were at Sri Sinar Driving Range where prize presentation ceremony was held during Kidz@Golf 9th Carnival.  None of the parent nor participant went home empty-handed.

There were 65 participants for the event dividing into 4 categories, namely Category A for junior 18 years old and below, an 18-hole stroke play which took place at the exclusive Valencia Golf Club on 30 June 2012. Whilst Category B was opened to juniors ages 12 and below, playing a 9-hole stroke play game at the same venue.

Category C1 was specially designed for new players where 4 holes golf was played at Valencia and another 5 holes were played at the Sri Sinar Driving Range on 1 July 2012 using the SNAGGOLF golf training aids.  Category C2 were opened to young golfers with age 7 and below, playing a 5-hole SNAGGOLF at the range, which became a mini golf course with the special SNAGGOLF equipment, where “the world is my course”.

Low Jun Wei (13 years old , an 8 handicapper) who joined Kidz@golf at the tender age of four, who held the the Malaysia Book Of Record being the youngest Malaysian golfer who scores a hole-in-one, turned out to be the champion for Category A with score 79. Two stokes away was Ong Shi Qing, (15 years old, an 8 handicapper) who joined kidz@golf at the age of nine and was last years Sports Excel Overall Champion for Girls under 15 category.  Third place went to the 9-year old young boy Tengku Muzaffar who took the challenge into meeting the big kids, scored 85 for his victory.4th place was Ho Cai Yan  91 strokes and 5th was Lee Kexin with 98 strokes.

Cateogory B Champion who scored 45 strokes for a round of 9 hole golf was none other than the 2011 Callaway World golf girls under six 5th place winner, Jeneath Wong.  Runners-up was Jasmine Onn carded 62 strokes, while 2nd runners-up was won on count back by another young boy Caeden Cheah playing 64 strokes putting Pushyaan at 4th place while 5th place was Sarivin 67 strokes, who also won on count back.

Winners for Category C1 were Oscar Kok (51 strokes), Jess Lam (55 strokes), Ong Yen Xuan (56 strokes), Mac Ai Ling (59 strokes ocb) and Marcus Yap (59 strokes ) whereas for Category C2 the 5-hole SNAGGOLF, 6-year ole Brandon Yap topped the group by carding 20 strokes, followed by Low Suzann (23 strokes), Suddhan (25 strokes ocb), 4th place was Zen Kok (25 strokes) and 5th place was Daryl Ho (29 strokes ocb).

The floor is opened to everyone and juniors when the Hole-In-One challenge using the SNAGGOLF Launcher to target on the Flagtsicky, winner for the Kids group would get a Fila/Barbie watch, courtesy from Timer’s Charm  while the Adults winner would get a branded sunglasses sponsored by Malayan Optic. No winner for the kids group while adults category was won by Mr. Kevin Kok who walked away with a branded sunglasses.

Winners and all other participants were pampered with fun and lucrative prizes among which included branded watches such as Fila, Ben10 and Barbie doll watches with kind sponsorship from Timers Charm.  While Malayan Optic gave away discount vouchers and a branded sunglasses as the hole-in-one prize. Melaka wonderland, Citygolf, Obrien Sandwich, Eco Paradise gave away cash vouchers. While Shijaler sponsored wall clocks and Dooodolls gave away lunch boxes and prizes.

“This is the 9th year Kidz@Golf  host its 9th golf carnival, its purpose is to create fun and get together for all its students, With the aid of  SNAGGOLF , which is used to nurture and develop the game of golf to all school children with the aim to make golf more accessible and a more affordable game for all. We want to create a platform for more Malaysian juniors to benchmark themselves against other global golf players.”, cited Ng Mei Yee, Program Director of Kidz@Golf.

Kidz@Golf conducts regular lessons, competitions and events for young children from 4 to 18 years old.
